Scratch that.
Reverse it.
If you are not feeling up to looking at a beautiful, super happy and totally in love couple in pictures where the photography skills are questionable, and takes place in one of the most gorgeous places on earth, than this post is just not for you.
Recently,
my family was all together and I had my new camera in tow. My older sister, we'll call her Sister 1, was probably the biggest proponents in the movement for my whole family to chip in and get me a super-duperiffic camera.
In light of her recent engagement, she decided that she needed an engagement photo for the newspaper.
Being the frugal little misses she came to some other decisions.
1. She didn't want to have to pay for said engagement photos.
2. She only wanted a couple of shots taken, why else would she need more right?
3. Because I like to take pictures, I should be the one to do so.
And I mean, as the maid of honor I guess it's my duty to do as the bride asks.
Oh, and I like to take pictures.
The result?
I went a little picture crazy. I wanted to give them lots of options for their announcement, and some other photos to create and album or print and hang on the wall if they'd like.
Oh, and I was having a buttload of fun.
Also, haters please take note: I am in no way trying to pretend to be a professional photographer. Yes I understand that some of these are overexposed. Yes I can see that sometimes the light of the objects in the foreground are a little more lit up than that in the back. Yes I recognize that some of these are not composition-ally perfect.
So I guess it's a good thing that I'm not claiming they are any of these things. My sister is happy with them because it was more than she expected, and I am super happy with them as well.
I picked out the ones that I thought were the prettiest, as well as my favorite "outtakes" or "non-prettiest". Enjoy!

| Didn't even have to ask them to. |

| One of the most photographed lighthouses ever. |
 |
| NBD They're in love. |
 |
| Even the wind cooperated. |
 |
| So this is the part where the guy on the bench started talking to us about how white the sailboats were, how awesome his sister's sailboat is, and how her wedding was great. |
 |
| Here he started telling my husband and sister #4 who walked up to us about how these two were in love and engaged. Dave clarified that he knew, because he was the brother in law. |
 |
| Bench guy really wanted me to get that sailboat in the background. Because my camera wasn't already pointed in that direction or anything... |
 |
| He was kind of funny. In a drunk guy rambling kind of way. At least they got a kick out of it. |
 |
| Uhh excuse me? |
 |
| Hey, I know that lighthouse! |
 |
| This is where my husband thought it would be funny to photobomb. It was. |
 |
| Love is sometimes like a hill. |

 |
| After you climb it and get to the top there is a girl, and you should fist pump. |
 |
| Preparations. |

| Anchorman? |
 |
| Their arms form a heart. I mean it's just perfect. |
 |
| This is them not posing. |
 |
| Token reflective shot. |
So what did I learn from this mini-photo shoot?
A. Doing photos with your family when they don't expect much because they're not paying, is a blast.
B. Oh, and I'm related to some beautiful people.
C. And I am in love with my new camera. The end.
Love the post, so very cute and fun!
