Weekend Recap 5/3-5/5

Another weekend has flown by at lightening speed and I am left sulking on my way to work that its all gone. (At least I'm assuming so. I'm writing this Sunday night and scheduling it for the morning. Who knows, I could be sunshine and rainbows.)
Now that the sun is out and temperatures are up, I'm finding it harder to get to work on Monday mornings. I just want to go out and play!
Friday afternoon started out though, with not any playing at all. As a volunteer coach it's not required for me to help out at high school meets, but seeing as I would eventually like to get a paid coaching job in this district or out, the more I help out hopefully the better.
It was a hand timed meet; I worked at the finish line writing down the times with some of my middle school-ers running the times over to be announced.

Sounds easy enough.
And I mean it was. But  I'm pretty sure that's because I'm a teacher.
There was a lot of multi-tasking. It was a 5 team meet and half of the timers where high-school-ers. So sometimes the  times didn't match up with places, or just no times at all.

And then the computer that was printing out the events got coffee spilled on it. So up in the botth they weren't really in a place to figure out places, and I didn't have the official sheets left, just the tiny lists of every runner in each event not split into heats...

So I was taking down times, scanning sometimes 8 sheets of results and figuring out places, making columns and lines to organize the tiny printouts, and organizing my middle school runners.
All at the same time.
 Go-go multi-tasking super-powers!

Thank goodness Dave came with a huge ice coffee for me, and then stuck around and directed high-school-ers that wanted to ask me where to check in for their even away from harms way.
It was also pretty nice to have some of my most reliable kids hanging around and helping me out.

After we left the meet at 8:30 PM (WOOF!) we headed to our local Greek Pizza place where the owners are literally Greek. They were close to closing but we're regulars so they sat down and ate their dinner with us with the whole place to ourselves. Let me tell you that pizza hit the spot!

The next morning we went on a hike up a small mountain with my Mom, Dad, and their dog Molly.

But before we left, Bruin and Linus got some sun.
Oh and just in case you don't follow me in on Instagram or Twitter, while I'm showing photos of my pets, here are a couple of Bruin giving Linus his nightly bath on last Monday.

You're welcome.

Back to this weekend.

There's nothing to make you feel like you need to get into shape like your Mom kicking your butt up a mountain. Not that she's out of shape. She's one of those crazy runners that stays in amazing shape even after having 4 kids.
Don't hate her because she's beautiful.

It was pretty steep and quick, but was fine once we got into  the swing of things.

We decided not to summit since we were pretty ready for lunch around 1. But we did find a place with a nice view to eat at.

Here's Dave with apparently a  turtle/giraffe neck, nom-nom-noming on his sandwich.

I don't have any photos of my parents or their dog because I took a nap while everyone else ate.
Don't worry, Dave got photos of that.

Bruin is my cuddle-buddy even at the top of a mountain.

This was right before I rolled onto my side and gave a few snores. It's fine. Pine needles were really meant to be nature's pillow.

That would be Mt. Washington in New Hampshire. (We were hiking in Maine.) Still snow. To think Dave wanted to hike/ski that this weekend. NO THANKS.

The descent was nice and we got to have some pretty good conversation, and watch the dogs spaz out on the trail together.

Here were our sweaty butts when we were done.

Dave wet my bandana in a brook to cool me off. It was perfect.
On the way home we stopped for Ice Cream. We're those people that get vanilla ice cream with a dog bone on it for our dog.
Bruin deserves to be completely spoiled before we start having kids in a few years and he's not the only one we take hiking.
Another shot of Bruin getting it done.

When we got home, we were pooped. We took showers, poured some boxed wine into juice glasses and caught up on our "Thursday" shows on Hulu. Pretty awesome.

Sunday was pretty relaxed. Dave showed off how handy he was when he took off the dog bed cover to get washed, realized the foam was falling out, and patched it with some old pants.

Good as new!

Sunday afternoon we also decided it was about time to hang up the twine that the Morning Glories and Moon Flowers will *hopefully* climb up on our front porch/awning.

We have had mixed luck with gardening, so we're hoping this project will work out. Or else we're just those young kids with the strong on the front of their house.

Dave put in the nails and tied the knots because I get all wobbly when I get onto ladders.

We of course didn't plan ahead for the actual planting of the seeds, because we forgot to soak them ahead of time. So I guess they will be going in tomorrow.

If we remember them.
Or the cat doesn't go fishing and eat them all while we're at work.
That would be some weird poop in the litter box.

To end the weekend, Dave and I needed to go grocery shopping.
Now we've been both trying to think of ways to eat healthier. We did some research on some different ways to cleanse and get a little more natural and realized that we actually have a lot of sugar in our diets.

So for two weeks we are going to eat "clean" and do a "No Sugar Challenge". This means nothing with added sugars and if they have sugars are pretty low.
Lots of smoothies, salads, and overall, actually, fresh deliciousness.

We'll see how this goes...

This is what the check-out looked like. So many vegetable bags! So much money!

But I think it will be nice to get ourselves back on track and not have sugary stuff every day after every meal.

And when we got home from shopping?
Well we kind of had a "last meal" of sorts.
We did have some frozen Chinese food and Ben and Jerry's in that cart, and we did eat it all. We're going to be good for two weeks, so we figured our body will appreciate it more if we had Chinese and ice cream right?

We finished the night with me updating the blog, Saturday Night Live on Hulu, and getting some grading in the grade-book.

I will keep you updated on the flowers and the sugar-free eating.
I wouldn't want to keep you up at night wondering if I've broken down and eaten an Oreo or not.

Hope your weekend was as eventful as me sleeping on a small mountain and buying some kale in bulk!

Stay Awkward,
Tricia

Yay for Friday!

If someone could let me in on how it's already the end of this week, and at the same time how it's already May, I would greatly appreciate it.
I mean it's been a crazy one friends. Good, but fast forward mode the entire time.
via

I have comments to reply to, a post for a little award I was nominated for,  some coaching stuff,  and 2397893845238 things for school to do. Maybe I'll fit in some family time before I start my summer job in two weeks.
OY VEY.

But, for today, I just want to start my Friday morning with some good feelings. This morning I'm just going to share some songs that I've been listening to on repeat, and you should be too.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis feat. Ray Dalton- Can't Hold Us

I loved Macklemore's thrift shop, this was a definite great second single to get keep him in the public eye. It is catchy and Ray Dalton (the guy who sings the chorus) just has the most adorable voice.
If this song doesn't make you want to go work-out or go dancing then please go home.

Tegan and Sara- Closer

Not to get all hipster on you, but I've been listening to Tegan and Sara since I was in college. I love these twin ladies who rock. Their new single, "Closer" is one of those dance-around-in-your-bra-and-workout-shorts-while-singing-into-your-hairbrush kind of song.
Not that I have...

Robyn- Call Your Girlfriend

I'm sure I've already posted this here but I don't care. This song has been around for a while and A LOT of people have covered it. But I don't care, this has been that song that when I'm at home alone I turn up, spaz out and dance to, mouth the words to my dog, and just enjoy. You can too.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis feat. Mary Lambert

Another Macklemore song. Not as catchy or trendy as "Thriftshop" or "Can't Hold Us". This one isn't one that I like to dance to, but it has a really nice sound to it and I love the message.
Worth a listen.

Emeli Sande- Next to Me

This song is not that new. I've been listening to it on the radio, humming along, and not really paying attention to the lyrics. So when I actually payed attention to them today on the radio, I realized that this song is essentially about my husband. Not to get all sappy on you, but this guy is literally the most loyal person I know, and I have no clue how he puts up with my sassy-pants.
And believe me, my sassy-pants have been on quite regularly lately.
So, I'm belting this song out in my car, with the windows down as a shout-out to the mister.

What songs do you have playing on repeat this week? Let me know with a comment.

Stay Awkward,
Tricia

Weekend Recap 4/26-4/28

Thought I'd recap my weekend. More so because I have a miserable memory and if someone asked me a month from now what I've been up to I would tell them I have no idea.

Friday after school started out with Track practice. (Yes, the weekend starts Friday afternoon.) Even though it's still hanging out with 7th and 8th graders, it's really nice to hang out with 7th and 8th graders that aren't the 60 that I spend all of my time with. Don't get me wrong, love my precious cherubs.

But when a kid does a sport they actually want to be there, so it's nice to do the coach thing after school after playing teacher all day.

Then I had to book it back home, had a snack, and Dave and I had to clean up around the house because our landlords were having an appraiser in. We also had plans with our friends who lived below us in another apartment to come for dinner. It was their first time seeing our new place so we didn't want it to look like a dump. We tucked boxes into corners, laundry into baskets, and swept all of that pesky dog and cat fur, finishing up by putting Bruin and Linus in the crate so they wouldn't bug the appraiser.

That's right, Bruin and Linus in the crate.

Together.

Chilling like villains.

Not because either of them are violent or whatever. They just both think that any stranger that walks into our house needs to be their bestie.
Not taken this weekend, this is at our old apartment. But I mean I think that this has happened more than once makes it all the better.

So the appraisal was fast, and our landlords were not only surprised by the cuddling happening in the crate, but also how the place had come together.

Then our former downstairs neighbors came over to visit.  (Not the ones we ran away from, the ones before them that were like our second set of parents.)
They brought over sushi and we made homemade pizza. I love having "family dinners" with these friends because they have such great perspective on life.

Saturday morning came around and Dave wanted to take me out fly fishing.
Notice snazzy pink fly fishing vest.

Now for those of you who don't know, Dave is big on a lot of outdoor sports.

He is a big hiker, he skis, he rock climbs, ice climbs, camps (all 4 seasons) hunts, and fishes.
He's for sure a true Mainah.

While I don't participate in all of the above hobbies (you will not be seeing me with an ice axe hanging off a cliff anytime soon, and I have yet to fire a gun) I do take part in the fly fishing.

First off, it's not boring like the type of fishing where you go out and just sit there. You have to work for it by picking the right spot, putting out a cast, and reeling it in the right way.

Also, have you ever been in a pair of waders, waist high, in a cold river on a hot summer's day? It's such a cool feeling.

Finally, I don't have to take it super seriously. I'm fine with not catching something. I just like being outside, hanging out in a river, usually with Dave or a group of friends of ours that like to fly fish. So that also means that I pick the fly that I like the looks of that day. (OOOH I LOVE BRIGHT GREEN TODAY, DAVE TIE THAT ONE ON MY LINE.)

It is pretty hilarious though when I do catch a fish and I'm using a fly that's "not supposed to work".

Did I mention Dave bought me a snazy pink fly fishing vest?
 That's a perk too.

We made it down to the first river which is strictly catch and release.
We got our flies on and got into the river.

We got our casts going, got comfortable with our form and fished for an hour.

We moved spots, changed flies, but didn't see much action. I realized I had to go to the bathroom so I got out of the river to, um, spend some quality time with mother nature.

When I pulled the waders off and looked at my spandex pants I realized I had a huge wet spot right where it counts.

And I thought to myself, I think I peed my pants.

I mean this wet spot was exactly what it looks like when someone pees their pants.

Did I feel myself pee my pants? No.

Was it warm? No. Super cold.

But Dave said there weren't any holes in these waders, and I mean, I did really have to go....
Maybe I accidentally peed myself when I hit the cold water.

So I went into the woods, did my business, and wondered whether I should tell Dave.

If I peed my pants, that is totally gross. But if  I peed my pants that is also totally me.
After realizing on my walk back to the river that he is indeed stuck with me for better or for worse, I displayed my lovely wet spot for him.

I was cracking up, he was cracking up. I told him I honestly didn't remember peeing myself, but I had no other explanation. He rolled his eyes, told me to put the waders on and get back into the river.

He didn't care, he just wanted to catch some fish.

THIS IS MARRIAGE KIDS.

So we get back in the water, start to see some fish jump, but they're not going for anything we're throwing. Our friend Jamie ended up joining us on the river and he couldn't catch anything either.

At one point I was literally 5 feet away from some fish, I could see them in perfectly. I started just throwing the fly right in front of their face. They would look at it, move a little towards it, and I would see their tiny faces contemplate going for it, but then they were just like "Eh, I don't feel like moving to get that."

We had a case of Lazy Fish Syndrome friends. I mean we threw everything in front of them. They just weren't having it.
But I didn't care. I had a great time hanging out and pretending I didn't pee my pants.
Plus THE WEATHER!!!!  I could've been doing anything and enjoyed it because I was so thankful to get some sun.

It's really pretty until you realize there's a tire in the middle of the river. This was the catch and release place. No worries.

We decided to move to a different river, and wanted to put some dry clothing on so we could stop for lunch at this local farm/cafe.

I take my waders off for a second time, and it doesn't look like I peed my pants anymore. No.
It looks like I peed my pants 13 times. So much so that there was liquid in my boot.

So the good news? I didn't pee my pants at all on Saturday.

The bad news? My waders had a leak in them and now we have to fix them. But hey, silver lining is that at least we know where the hole is right?

After eating the most organic BLT of my life we headed to the next spot a town over.

Not only did we not catch anything here, but the current was so strong that it knocked our friend right off his feet and down the river a bit. So it wasn't the most successful trip, but in the end we enjoyed our time outside.

Sunday for me brought yard work and school stuff. I posted here, then Dave and I decided that we needed to start working on our lawn.

Our landlord has some stuff piled up from an old shed that used to be on the property, so that stuff is piled in our backyard. It will be going soon, but with that and all of the pine needles it felt claustraphobic. Plus, what a pain in the buttox to pick up pine needles every time we go to pick up dog poo. While our landlords were going to take care of the lawn care, it was again gorgeous outside and we wanted an excuse to be in our backyard.

We also have some things we wanted to do to dress up the front of our house as far as planting goes and figured Sunday was as good a day as any.

First, we needed supplies. Supplies like window boxes, pots, rakes, gloves, seeds and soil. Our first stop was at a discount store here in Maine called Mardens. It has everything you don't need but you will buy because it is on discount due to water damage at some warehouse. We didn't find much as far as gardening but the trip was well worth it because of this gem I found in the furniture section.

I call it: Seduction of a Jaguar. Coming to an animal-print-themed bedroom near you.

3 stores and too much money later, we came home with everything we needed.
This what my car looks like with garden stuff inside.

We raked and cleaned up the backyard, as Bruin watched with the wind blowing through his hair.

I promise we don't tie Bruin up like this, I'm not crazy about just tying a dog up in the backyard and leaving it because it could get away and it could really hurt itself But we figured since we were right there we could tie him up on the stake we usually use for camping.

Out front we wanted to put some flower boxes and pots.

Fun fact: years ago, before it was a nursery, our house was a general store. So we have this super awkward parking space and even more awkward awning. Per my mother-in-law's suggestion, we're going to put up some twine running from the white boxes you see to the awning and plant some morning glories.

If it works, we will have morning glories and moon flowers forming an almost privacy shade on either side.

If it doesn't work, we'll be the weird people on the street who made the side of their house kind of look like jail.

I'll keep you posted.

And that was my weekend! I'm now sitting on my couch, and planned ( for school) for the week. I think I've got a few blog posts up my sleeve too which will be scheduled to show up sometime this week (including this one.)

Hope your weekends were as weird, awkward, and sunny as mine.

Stay awkward,
Tricia

A List Of Things I've Been Doing Lately

It occurred to me the other day when I woke up from my super casual two hour nap after school the other day that I have a blog.
That blog is this blog and I also simultaneously realized that I hadn't posted in that blog for about three weeks.
Which also just by chance happens to be the amount of time that I've been in school.

Juuuuust a coincidence. Right?

While I could be all "Blah blah blah OMG TEACHING IS JUST SO SUPER HARD AND BUSY LET ME GIVE YOU MY SCHEDULE FOR THE LAST WEEK TO JUSTIFY WHY I'VE BEEN GONE." I feel like that is pointless and you could find it elsewhere.
Like any teaching blog you follow.
Or this blog right here. Go ahead, see any post I have on teaching it's probably of the above flavor. (That's right, I'm not above calling myself out.)

So instead I'm going to give everyone a general overview of things I've been doing lately in my favorite way: list form.

Sweating
The weather is still hanging out between 70 and 80 degrees. When you're in a classroom that's on the second floor with 30 year-old carpeting you have a recipe for some pit stains.
As far as my teacher clothing goes, I have 3 outfits that are comfortable in that sort of weather. And only one that I'd actually want to wear. So I've been rotating a few t-shirts in with my one pair of capri's and dress pants into my outfits and then just dabbing myself with tissues the rest of the time.
Needless to say, I'm ready for the fall weather to set in so I can start wearing what most of my wardrobe consists of: COMFY SWEATERS!

Yoga
I haven't been going to classes, but a couple of days a week (when I can peel myself out of bed at 5 am) I've been ordering the hour video on our demand channel. On the mornings that I do yoga before I head to school I literally feel like nothing can shake me. And let's face it I feel a little less guilty about not working out if I get home and am too tired to move.

Telling Jokes
At some point over the summer I forgot how hilarious I am.
I also forgot how hilariously lame I come off to 7th graders, especially when I'm intentionally making  horrible jokes on purpose to set their standards low.

Channeling My Inner Camp Counselor
Because we have 7th graders this year that we will have next year as well, my team and I have been really focusing on team building for the first two weeks of school. This means that we were doing a lot of name games, problem solving, and cooperative challenges.
So for the past three weeks I've been switching back and forth from being a super professional 7th grade teacher to my old camp counselor days. All 8 years of running games and creating activities at summer camp for 8 years really paid off, and was kind of a blast.

Become My Mother, My Father, And Every Other Adult Who Put Me In My Place
When you get a group of students that you know you're going to have for two years, you have to put your foot down right from the get-go. That will cause a lot less heartache down the road. It makes me giggle a little when I hear myself use phrases and get after students for things that people used to get after me for. The circle of life goes on.
But don't worry, I haven't gotten to the point where I've had to use, "Because I said so," yet....

Being Useless When I Get Home
*Insert joke about my husband doing all of the housework because I catch narcolepsy when I walk into the apartment.*
I'll be used to being back at work again soon right?

Eating Fresher, And Cleaner
I've been finding cleaner recipes for dinners and lunches.
We've been getting our produce, hummus, and even some meat from our local farmer's market.
Not only do I feel better about buying local, but I feel better because I'm eating good food.
Oh and it's been super yummy.
THANKS PINTEREST.

Keeping Up With Family
The weekends have been family get togethers, sleep overs at parent's houses, and trying to make it to XC meets and soccer games. Sometimes successfully, and sometimes not so much. The weekends have been full, and that's been just fine.

Sleeping. Lots of Sleeping.
Naps. Going to bed early. Sleeping in late.
If I'm not in the middle of a cup of coffee or in the middle of a lesson plan you can probably find me dozing off with some drool leaking from the corner of my mouth.

Figuring Out HOW I Want To Reach My Fitness Goals
I have fitness goals. This summer I wasn't that great at motivating myself. I have found my motivation, but am finding that with school starting and just my preferences changing, the way I've always gone about fitness just isn't working for me anymore. So I'm exploring changes I can make to my workout routine to get myself out of this workout-rut.

Painting My Nails
If I don't paint my nails I tend to chew them, which is gross.
But if they chip then my new nervous habit and picking the polish off.
Soooo I've been doing a lot of painting and retouching.
This week it's light purple and glitter on the the ring fingers.
(But if you followed me on Twitter you'd already know that!

Answering Nervous Questions About How School Is Going
Last year if you asked me how my school year was going I would get this crazy look in my eyes, tell you it was alright, and then look like I was about to cry.

I learned a lot from my students last year. I think I got a lot of really great skills and I would like to think I made some difference for some students. I also got my first taste of teaching Humanities and integrating language arts and social studies. I developed a curriculum and learned what I liked and what I didn't like about how I taught it.
BUT GOD WAS LAST YEAR HARD.
So when people ask me how my year is going so far, I can tell they're a little nervous about what sort of reaction they're going to get from me. I think they're pleasantly surprised when I smile and say, "Actually, really well!"

Becoming A Real Person At Home
For those of you whom aren't regulars here, my husband is most likely going up for sainthood within the year. Since I started teaching he picks up a lot of the slack on the home-front.
This especially went for last year (please see above category) when I could barely keep my head above water at school.
During the summer it was much easier to do my part, but alas summer is over.
But this school year, I'm anticipating a the year to be a little less exhausting and trying my darndest to not only be a real person at school, but also a real person at home that cooks dinner at least 3 times a week.
I know, I know, it's a lofty goal, but I think I can make it!

Pretending I'm Organized
I am not the most organized person in the world.
Actually let me rephrase that.
I'm not an organized person.
BUT
I have organized my desk drawers at school for the first time in my life.
I have organized my jewlery, make-up, hair elastics, and hair clips all onto rings and into zip up bags and lotions.
I have organized all of my student information and important lists for school into a binder.
I am not expecting any of this to last long.
But it sure does feel nice to pretend!

Forcing Myself To Read
This sounds like I hate reading.
I love reading.
But often find myself saying, "Man I wish I had time to read during the school year. I feel like I can only enjoy a book during the summer!"
Which in a way is true. I go to work, come home, eat dinner, and more often than not do some more work.
But, I also watch television.
I also read blogs, and check facebook, and pin away to my heart's content.
So realistically, could I read more? Yes. I just have to force myself. So I've downloaded a couple new books to the kindle and am ready to cut some other stuff out so I can enjoy a few good books.

That, in a little nutshell is what I've been up to.
Time for me to read some of my favorite blogs, because that is something that I have NOT been up to and need to do.
Stay fabulous this week!

Weekend Update: The Bachelorrette Party

It is my older sister Nicole's wedding week.
She gets married this Friday.
This thought to me is crazy.
And then I remember I'm married and find that crazy.

Either way, this is reason for celebration.

This weekend I threw my sister a bachelorette party.
It was awesome.
While the collective "you" of the internet doesn't need to know all of the details, I'll share the highlights.

We went to the beach.
The beach is probably the best way to start a bachelorette party. Get your tan on for the night!

We outfitted the bachelorrette in her hat and sash and went for some outdoor dining.
The hat was kind of a mom hat, so she felt the need to do a mom pose.
Then she got gangster on us. (PS that's a blinking sash.)
Isn't she just adorable? No wonder she's getting married!

We went back to the hotel, said goodbye to the younger sisters, and got on making tanks to go out in.

Now while it's none of your bussiness to know what the other girl's shirts said, I will tell you what mine said because it's hilarious.

At my bachelorrette party, I was given a sash.
Now I felt the need to write on the back of it, "I DO WHAT I WANT"
Apparently it was my catch phrase for the weekend.
I wore it to my rehearsal dinner. I thought it was pretty funny.

So my tanktop for going out this weekend?
It said  "I STILL do what I want."
OBVIOUSLY.

My husband laughed at this when he saw it the next day.
Marriage is awesome.

Anyway, we made t-shirts and made our way out.
Now, in Portland that weekend there was a huuuuuuuge music festival.
When I say huge I mean they shut down an entire neigborhood.
We knew the city would be out of control.
So we decided to pick one place and stay there.
We chose a place that we could go dance and be ridiculous.
Because we were a bachelorette party we skipped right ahead of the line and got in.

We danced. And danced. And danced. And had way too much fun.

They served beer in paper bags, which we thought was the coolest.
This is one of my sister's best friends from college. The look more alike then we do. Notice excitement over drinking beer out of a can and paper bag.
Then, 5 minutes before last call, the fire alarm went off.
LAMESAUCE.
I told a bouncer on the way out it was because we were too hot.

So we obviously took our party to the street.
I think after I took this I danced a little.
We took photos with our new friends. This was probably my best friend from the night. We had a heart to heart and found out we went to the same college.
I told him I was like the Khloe Kardashian of my family because I am a giant and my sisters are shorter than me. He told me he was born in 1984.
It got real deep.
Noticed the blurred out shirts. YOU'LL NEVER KNOW AAAAHAHA!
And then we got a photo with the guy taking the photo above.
You know, to be fair.
And because he was wearing an elmo shirt.

And then, after catching a cab and making friends with a driver finding out where his kids went to school and how much he loved the city, we retired to the hotel.
But not without one more photo of course.

In case the blinking sash didn't alert you, they wanted to show you who the bride was.
Just a really good time.

And now the even more awesome time starts this weekend as my sister gets married to her college sweetheart this weekend.

Now to put those final touches on that Maid of Honor speech...

This. Kid. Rocks.

I literally have 5 different posts I want to write, but I spent the entire morning replying to comments and have to zip off to work to save the world one frozen custard cone at a time in about 10 minutes.

BUT
I just had to share this with people.
I mean EVERYONE.
And what a better place to do so other than my blog right?

SO I'm a huge fan of Beyonce. I mean astronomical. I mean, I might name my first born Blue Ivy.
(Just kidding.)(Or am I????)

Either way, a great way to put it is I think she's mad fly.
Her voice.
Her moves.
Her super awesome body.
Her super sweet personality.
EVERYTHING I LOVE.

The song, "Countdown" is by far one of my favorites right now. I dance to it in the house, blast it in the car, and work out to it at the gym. It is fun, flirty, and about her man.
Which, I feel like there are a lot of songs for single girls out there. This is totz  fine.
You will catch me cleaning and singing Adele's, "Someone Like You" into a broomstick with the best of them.
But like I said it is just super nice to have some songs out there that us girls in committed relationships can relate to ya know?

If you are not familiar with the song or the music video please watch the following.

Okay, now that you've seen that.
There is this video that is starting to go viral.
It is of a fabulous highschool boy, lip syncing and dancing to this song and  therefore recreating the entire video.
And it's to a T. His faces, his moves, the editing. I MEAN PERFECTION.
 Even better?
HE DOES IT ALL IN A SNUGGIE.
If your day needs to be made, this will in fact do it.
And if it doesn't, then I'm sorry that you're no fun.

Below I have both the original, and then an edited version that he made afterwards to show the videos side by side. The side by side one is crazy because you truely get to see how right on he was!

Alright, happy Thursday. Stay fab!
