Oh, How Pinteresting and Walkabout Wednesday

I was a little all over the place when pinning this week.
And if you follow me on Pinterest I'd like to make sure one thing is clear that might not be due to the nature of my recent pins.
 I AM NOT PREGNANT.
Have I been pinning lots of baby things?
Yes.
I have reasons though.

1. I do want to have babies in a couple of years, and I have a miserable memory. So I don't want them to miss out on what I saw on Pinterest now, but couldn't remember because Mama is a crazy lady.
2. I FEEL LIKE EVERYONE  THAT IS MY AGE IS PREGNANT.
And because of that, they're looking at a lot of baby stuff, therefore, that's what I'm seeing on my Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, and Blog feed. It's just there.
3. One of my best friends just found out she's having a boy. Therefore, it is my responsibility as a future "Auntie" to pin away at everything that I love for him. (And I admit, lots of things I would like for my own future babies too.)

So yeah, there are lots of things this week that had to do with babies.

But one more time, just in case and for good measure.

I AM NOT PREGNANT AND PROBABLY WON'T BE ANYTIME SOON. MY

With that said.
OMG LOOK HOW PERFECT THIS ONSIE IS!!!!!

Am I right?
If it's nautical, I love it.
Like let's just talk about all of these whales on this baby's shirt.

This anchor says, "Take this onesie, put it on a baby, bring that baby to a beach, and have the cutest photo shoot of your life."

And you know what, when it comes to dressing toddlers, when in doubt, dress them like they're going on a fancy yacht and they are the captain.

Now let's talk nursery. My friend is thinking an "Outdoors theme". And because I'm a good friend, I spent an hour on Pinterest looking at nursery themes. Surprise, most of them ended up being nautical. It's fine.

Ok. Out of my system for now.

After Pinning baby stuff I like to remind myself of one of the reasons we are holding off for a few more years.
We are thinking about taking a "big" vacation before creating little humans that are going to try and run our lives for the rest of our existence.

We're talking different continent type vacation. (Which, I've never done.)

Now, we're holding off for a year or so because money, unfortunately, doesn't magically appear in our bank account when we say "Hey, I want  to travel."

So I've been doing a lot of pinning of cheap ways to make that happen and ideas in general.

These links actually have some pretty great suggestions and ideas. A good start to at least getting the juices flowing. And good to keep baby fever away right?

I mentioned in a post this Sunday Dave and I are taking the, "Sugar-Free Challenge". We are not eating any foods with added sugars for two weeks.

So far, it's going pretty well.
Buuuut it wasn't that great of an idea for me to start the challenge this week when I start working my job at a frozen custard stand this weekend!!!! (READ: MOST DELICIOUS ICE CREAM YOU'VE EVER HAD.)

We'll see how my will power holds up with that one. But I have the link to the website we're using as our guide on Pinterest. This features not only the rules we're following, but a lot of the meals/snacks that we have planned out to eat for the rest of the week.

I'll keep you posted on how it goes.

And to wrap this super rando Pinterest post up, I shall leave you with some quotes that I liked this week.

Make sure to comment and let me know you were here so I can check your Blog or Pinterest out.
I'd love to hear what you think about pinning baby things when you're not having a baby, traveling and how to do it on a budget, if you've ever done a sugar-free challenge, or what you think of the quotes.

Comments on how you agree about how nautical themed everything for babies is perfect are also welcome.

Feel free and follow me on Pinterest.

What I'm Loving on this Pinteresting Walkabout Wednesday

So I'm participating in 3 link ups today.

Excessive? Maybe.

But I figure after coming back from a 7 month hiatus yesterday I have some lost time to make up and therefore it is allowed.

First What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'm loving that I'm sick on vacation.
Well, not that I'm sick on vacation, but that I'm not sick while I'm in school.
Would I rather be healthy, hanging out with friends, and getting work done for school? Yes.
But, since I'm on vacation I get to snivel and drivel on my own couch and didn't have to make any sub plans to do so. There's only one thing I hate more than being sick, and it's making sub plans.
I know all of those teachers out there feel me.

I'm loving that I survived a 3 day field trip, and I still want to teach.
You read that right: 3 days. 2 nights. A bunch of 7th graders. Still want to go back to my job on Monday. It was a field trip to an ecology school right on the ocean. They had a blast, there weren't really that many problems. On our last day there my colleagues and I were actually starting to plan out 3 field trips for next year.
Call me crazy but...
Nope.
Just call me crazy and call it good.

I'm loving that the weather is starting to actually look like spring! I love me some snow, but it's pretty much been snowing since the last time I posted on my blog. I'm ready for mud season. (Whoops, I meant spring.)

I'm loving that the hubs has been taking awesome care of my pitiful butt. Making soup, getting me water, and overall just listening to me whine. He's a gem.

Oh, How Pinteresting Wednesday
Now for some of my most recent pins.

We've been on a quinoa kick in my household lately.
I've tried the first Quinoa Tabouli recipe and loved it, and am really eager to try the burger recipe with feta and spinach. Mhm!

Found this cool way to play scrabble in the backyard. DYI summer geekery.

Speaking of summer, how cool would it be to have a circle of sunflowers in your backyard? Ultimate hideaway spot!

As far as clothing goes, I've been looking for some summer dresses. This navy/coral combo caught my eye. I think I saw some dresses like this at Old Navy?

How about some bright pink with white. We're allowed to wear white now right?

And this my friends, would be my Friday sweatshirt.

I am in <3 with this compass necklace.

How cute would this sweatshirt be sitting around the campfire? You know I'm already looking forward to relazing around a few of those real soon.

And a little inspirational quote to end your day with!

That's it! If you like my taste in sweatshirts, backyard debauchery, and gluten-free dishes feel free and follow me on Pinterest here.

Make sure to check out the link-ups at the top of this blog.

Also, as mentioned above, my first post after a loooong hiatus was yesterday. I asked some questions at the end about how everyone else keeps regular, any cool blog posts I might have missed within the last few months, and link-ups that you would recommend. You can read that and answer all of those super duper important questions for me by clicking here. Or you know, just scroll down.

Thanks for stopping by. Leave a comment to let me know that you were here!
