Tail Wagging Tuesday

Today is officially my first day back to school. No kids, just lots of teachers running around like crazy people trying to get their rooms together! So this morning only a short little post as I sit here waiting for the bright pink nail polish I just applied to my toes to dry.

Wouldn't want to go to my first professional day at school with my toesies all exposed and looking like Frodo's feet on middle earth, no would I?

(For those of you who hate feet, I apologize, I probably just regurgitate breakfast, ruined your morning, and caused you to never return to this blog again. For those of you whom are LOTR fans, I probably just made your morning. You are just so very welcome.)

So I shall be linking with with the fabulous CMae and precious Aspen over at Happiness Is...

Today's topic is funny photos of your dog.

Here's the problem: I have already shared all of my funny photos of the Bru-man because I am in love with him and post any and every picture I have of him all the time. So get ready for some repeats kids.

I could go with the classic, "I love to be swaddled like a baby when it's cold outside and I sneak up on your bed," photo.
Or the "Shhh don't bother me my favorite show is on," photo.

Of course there is the, "This is the embarrassing photo I keep as my background which causes awkward moments whenever I show it to people photo,". (You can read the whole backstory on this one here.)

You might also get a kick out of the series of photos where Bruin wears a bunch of hats. I won't repost because I am running out of time, but you can see them all here. You are just so very welcome.

Alright, time for my all time favorite squirt milk out of my nose photo of Bruin. If you're a regular here at my blog, then you've seen it, but I'll share background first.

So I'm a teacher. An middle school Language Arts teacher to boot. Which means I have to somehow make parts of speech somewhat interesting for my students. So after watching School house rock I have the kids write songs and make music videos about a part of speech.

But not before Lady Gaga subs for the day and shows the class her own song about parts of speech. Last year it was, a song about Adjectives to the tune of, "Telephone.

Needless to say, I made the kids call me Gaga all day, did a live performance of my song "Telephone" which is about Bruin calling me from home and how I can't answer my phone because I "gotta teach those adjectives", and wear a bright red lace outfit that is appropriate for school.

I'm crazy, it's fine.

Back to Bruin.

So the night before, I was getting the outfit together and took a picture of myself with the lace to show my Facebook friends just how cool I am. Bruin was nearby, so I plopped him in my seat, draped the lace on him, and took a picture. The result?

Can we just talk about how he looks like he is singing in this picture? Or could we talk about the fact that he is making perfect eye contact with the camera? Or maybe just the head tilt? It's unbelievable.

And that is why I'm pretty sure I own the coolest dog on earth.

Happy Tuesday!

Tail Wagging Tuesday

Gosh darn lake time!

I almost forgot my favorite link-up!

It's Tail Wagging Tuesday everyone!

Today's post is any picture of your pup, new or old.

Oh, someone is asking me to post more pictures of my dog?

Twist my arm.

So today, since I am exhausted from a mix of running, swimming, reading, swimming, and even sneaking in a trip to move some furniture around in my classroom, I will not be posting any of my photos from my current vacation tonight. I haven't uploaded them and my camera is downstairs, how's that for lazy?

Do not fret my friends, Bruin was cute before this week.

So here are some of my favorites.

If you are sick of my dog, then this wasn't the best day to tune in, but for those of you who are in love with him, you are in for a treat.

So, Happy Tuesday and enjoy the life and times of Bruin.

My first year of teaching was rough.

On the both of us.

Two Words: Goose Poop

Funny story, when Bruin had heart worms he couldn't walk around or move at all, but would get really anxious when he wasn't with us all the time.

Sooo we may or may not put him in a rolling kitchen chair so we could roll him around the apartment....If you didn't catch on our dog is a person.

Normal sleeping habits.

Bruin likes to pose.

He puts his head out windows.

He loves to cuddle in.

This is the first day that we got him, and my roommate's cat insisted that he show his dominance from the beginning.

Oh you forgot he likes to cuddle?

Because he really likes to cuddle.

He has also been known for being an avid sports fan.

He's also been known for his ability to hold a conversation on mountaintop.

Or dress like Lady Gaga and sing about it. (Sorry this is huge, it's just hilarious.)

He puts up with bathtime.

As long as he gets a nice towel dry afterwards.

Bruin has been known to be sassy on occasion.

His favorite activity other than licking people's faces is running around like a fool.

And, finally and certainly not least he poses for photos.

And poses.

And poses.

And poses.

And poses.

And poses.

And poses.

And poses.

And poses.
And poses some more.

And more.

Oh and poses again.
Aaaaaand guess what he poses.

Not only does he pose and cuddle, but he can do both at the same time.
And finally, but certainly not least, he poses for pictures in human clothing.
There you have it, an obnoxious amount of photos of Bruin!

You are just so very welcome. :)

Tail Wagging Tuesday

Tail Wagging Tuesday how I have missed thee! An extra weekly excuse to blog about my dog? Umm okay!

Like up with CMae over at Happiness is... to join in on the fun!

Today's topic is photographic evidence of your dog enjoying the dog days of summer.

We haven't been able to really go on any great adventures yet this summer because we've just settled into our schedules. (And it's July. Summer goes way too fast.) But I have been able to get a few snapshots of Bruin doing what he does best: acting ridiculous.

Whenever we head to my parents house he plays with Molly.
(Who currently has 8 staples in her head from getting hit by a car. YIKES!)

At my parent's house he also likes to frolic around and get a nice tan.

Here at home he goes for walks. I have no photographic evidence of that. But I do have other much needed pictures of him:

Trying on hats.

Hiding from the vacuum.

Playing video games.

On my front porch after a run while I take photos of flowers. Just call him assistant photographer/ doggy model.

On a bench. Yes, on a bench. Just because I have a dog that will.

Hanging out with me on our second floor deck keeping over the local wildlife: and squirrels and stray cats.

And getting tired because keeping watch is just tough.

When it's too hot to be outside, he likes to pretend he's a cat, sneak up on the back of the couch, and watch over the neighborhood.

Until I call him down.

After the picture of course.

And on those way-too-hot to look cool days? Straight out chilling on his bed in front of the fan.

Hopefully once we're able to finally head on some hikes I'll get some good ones of this goofball.

Stay cool!
