1. As many of my regular blog readers may know, my only nice camera is from the stone age and takes film. So you could imagine my excitement when I was at my parent's house playing around with their Canon. My wonderful father then proceeded to say he would let me take it home with me for a month so I could figure out if I like it, and then could teach him how to use it when I was done.
TWIST MY ARM DAD.
I think I got some good ones before I left their house.

2. My Husband looks adorable in his new park ranger uniform. You don't have to agree, I'm going to show him off anyway.
3. I Now Understand Why God Gave Me Bruin: So I Could Photograph Him On Benches
You may notice that whenever I post photos a great number of them happen to be of my little B-man. Now, we could've fallen in love with any rescue dog out there. One that barks, bites, has the wrong energy level, doesn't listen, doesn't get along with other dogs or certain people, or is difficult to control?
But no, fate and God himself matched us up with this medium sized mutt who thinks he's a person.
So is it my fault, that yesterday which was a beautiful summer solstice, after my husband went to work I was left with a new camera and a dog who most of the time POSES FOR PHOTOS ON HIS OWN?
What will I do when we get another dog who doesn't want to belong to a modeling agency when he grows up? (Well that or a professional mountain climber. He has very eclectic tastes in hobbies. We tell him to follow his dreams.) I don't know.
But for now, I will enjoy my narcissistic dog.
And I will also hope that he will find a way to teach any new puppy we may get that staring introspectively into the distance does in fact look best during sunset.
I'll stop gushing before all of you cat lovers out there navigate away. The following are photos from an extensive photo shoot in my front yard.

| Our downstairs neighbors' lawn ornament. Just cunning. |

| At first the sullen teenager wasn't sure about taking pictures. |
 |
| But he perked up pretty quickly. |
 |
| Should I submit this one to the L.L. Bean catalogue or Better Homes and Gardens? I just can't decide. :) |
 |
| Just acting natural on a bench. |
 |
| Abercrombie and Fitch maybe? |
 |
| He loves butterflies. |
4. Yesterday was so delicious out that after my high profile front yard photoshoot and a trip to the gym, Bruin and I decided to eat dinner on our mostly sketchy second floor porch while reading.Well, I read. He chased butterflies.
It was splendid. And, I did not get any splinters. Always a plus.
