Time to share all of the things that I'm loving.
It's kind of fun to take an inventory on all of the positive things in life in the middle of the week. Because if I didn't, it might be difficult to get through the week. So I will save all of the stresses for a later post and focus in on what's good....
So thanks for the link up Jamie.
1. In my post about the weekend I mentioned that we got our garden set up. Well Tuesday afternoon, we got all of the veggies planted. Dave and I and our friend Katie planted away and we've dug, covered and labeled all of the sections.
Gardening hasn't always been my thing, so I'm eager to see what actually happens and decides it wants to grow. Please notice the fact that we never bothered to get actual garden labels, so we made do with straws, packing tape, and paper.
The sunflowers are my little babies. No they're not vegetables, but I gave them their own little spot in front of the garden to look good and just act boss.
I just hope I don't pull a whatshisface from "Of Mice and Men" and love my garden too much and metaphorically squeeze them to death with love by watering them too much or accidentally pull them up thinking they're weeds. This will be interesting. Either way I'm loving it.
2. I'm loving that I decided to get this when I started sweating 30 seconds into my drive to school.
And I'm also loving the fact that my students noticed that it was important enough to be allowed to sit on one of the hallowed stools at the front of my classroom. And I was all, "YEAH IT IS."
3. I am also loving that most of my outfit was new today. I also managed to mention in my weekend post that mommers hooked me up with some kohls cash and I went nutzo. I couldn't help but not wear almost all of my new clothing this morning. I just couldn't help it, because it was all just fab. I mean I've never owned capris never-mind salmon colored capris.
If this doesn't scream you're going to read and you're going to LIKE it, I don't know what does.
4. I love thunder and lightening, especially when it happens in school. Despite the fact that it distracts them for about 5 seconds, it's nice once they all get settled and everyone can sit, relax and enjoy it. Middle school isn't so bad all of the time I guess.
5. In case you're not a hockey fan, FYI the Bruins made it to the Final Round for the Stanley Cup. And in case you're not a regular follower of this blog, (WHICH YOU SHOULD MEND IMMEDIATELY BECAUSE YOU'RE MISSING OUT ON IMPORTANT POSTS LIKE MY CANDLE COLLECTING HABITS AND INCOMPETENCE IN HOUSEWORK. ) then you may not know that my dog's name is Bruin. My husband has a serious case of the "Hockey's". I'm pushing for our firstborn not to be called Puck, Icing, or Tim Thomas but we'll see.
Either way.
I love that Bruin, is sitting here watching the Bruin's with us.
Because, you know, he just loves watching T.V. What human doesn't?
Happy Wednesday!

I love your dog--my dog is pretty much human too :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I looove your outfit, very cute! Kohl's is my weakness...I can't walk in there without buying something. And I don't think I've ever bought something that wasn't on sale--everything is *always* on sale. Love it!
Your blog is really great, thanks for finding me!
Oh, and I really liked Hangover 2! I can see where people think it's bad because it really is the exact same plot as the first one--just in a different location, and even CRAZIER scenarios...and probably a little more crude than the first one. But I laughed a lot, so it's worth seeing if you enjoyed the first one!
Love the outfit!! I've never owned anything salmon colored I don't think but it looks so pretty on you!

ReplyDeleteHahahaha I've always wanted to garden but I've remained quite intimidated. I am glad that you are very go with the flow and see what happens, and your garden identifiers are super cute!
Good luck, I can't wait to see how it turns out! xo
