Time to pull a woodstock and start some free loving without worries, because it's What I'm Loving Wednesday!
Thank you Jamie @ This Kind Of Love for making us all look on the bright side as we turn the corner of our weeks. It's like a weekly reflection of what I labeled my blog: Pursuing what makes you happy. Which on occasion will get lost real fast.
After last night it was tough to look on the bright side of things with how overwhelmed and taken for granted I was starting to feel. But waking up this morning I think I'm able to find a few things. :)
1. I'm loving that I WON MY FIRST BLOG AWARD!!!! *HOOTY HOOOO*
The award that I was so graciously given by Kate over at Kate as of Late was the Sunshine Award.
That's right, someone out there is ACTUALLY reading this stuff and thinks it is deserving of some sort of recognition? What the What?
Pretty great way to start my morning!
Now I don't have any time to do my full out post about how I'd like to thank god, mom, my husband, third grade teacher, Jivetown records, all of the cameramen and assistants because they're the ones that really run a movie set, and tell Kanye West to LEMME FINISH. I know Beyonce's video was the best, get out of my face. Unfortunately I have to get this post off and put on some pants so I can go to work.
I'll do the post where all of that happens and I pass the award on later on today. BUT. I'll gladly post the button in this post because it's real purdy.
2. I have 5.5 days of school. 3 of those are teaching days.
Scary? Bittersweet? Reminiscent? All of those things.
Most of all exciting? You know it!
3. The person who cooked spaghetti for my track banquet last night, brought me iced coffee, and then came home and did some accounting stuff for my grading so I could put it in the gradebook?
Not to mention getting me through my emotional breakdowns at the end of days where I am super down in the dumps.
You know. Just Superman. Without the cape. Plus a little white dog as his assistant.
4. I am almost caught up in ALL of my grading!
For those of you who are teachers, I hope you can appreciate this. Especially all of those English/Language Arts teachers. Fixing punctuation and the spelling errors of teenagers is TIME CONSUMING.
5. There is a local festival in Portland every year called "The Old Port Festival" which I never can go to because of one reason or another. And finally for the first time this year I can actually go. There's live music, activities, arts, vendors, food etc. And the best part of it all is it's right in my favorite city here in Maine right on the Ocean. *Le Sigh* How I love my city by the bay.
So Yeah. I'd have to say that life is wicked good right now. :)

I'm glad you're feeling better today! Congrats on the award :) And your husband seems so sweet! Have a great day!
ReplyDeletelove this. glad you're feeling better. so so happy I found your blog. I'm totally following, I hope you will as well. I started my blog a little over 3 months ago after graduating from college in the south and moving across the country to LA. The site's all about celebrity fashion from the point of view of an LA stylist. I'd love if if you'd stop by to see multiple post a day on all the latest celebrity fashion news. Any support would be awesome. Thanks love. xoxo
