My Weekend In Photos

Last Sunday I did a post on my weekend with photos that went along with the events. Well my wonderful husband got me some more film for my camera for the weekend so I was able document the weekend.

Now, first of all, yes they still have camera film. And yes people still use it. I haven't had a camera for quite some time. In high school I took a photography class and my parents had a Canon that I used. My father stuck it in one of my "bins" at their house there it stayed while I was in college. He recently rediscovered this camera, I took it out, and have been taking pictures on it whenever I have film. I'm still trying to hone in on my skills again, trying to keep the lens on manual focus and adjust the aperture and shutter speed. It's been tough, and there have been some hits and misses but I'm enjoying myself.

I'm hoping that if I'm good I'll get something digital that doesn't require me to "ration" the photos that I'm taking with similar capabilities.

I'm going to try and continue to take pictures each weekend and post them here with how the weekend went. Whether it's the old 35mm Canon, our small little digital, or my cell phone. So without further ado...

My Weekend in Photos!

Saturday morning started out with Dave helping out at a town park close by, and myself hanging out catching up on rest on the couch from the busy week. Bruin kept watch out of the window for...you know...stuff.

That night Dave and I headed to his parent's house to take his mother to dinner for Mother's Day. We gave her a pictures I took earlier this month of herself, Dave, and the dog on a hiking trip.

We spent some quality time with the rest of the family for the rest of the night. We had to get up and pack the car up relatively early in the morning.
Bruin likes to help out.
For mother's day all my mom wanted was to go hiking. So Dave planned a trip, and we met up with them to set off on our adventure.
My sister is a gem.
He missed her so much.
We drove to the mountain on a long dirt road and hiked to the trail head of Mt. Tumbledown.

And we hiked all morning, (About 3 hours.) since Dave took us to one of the trails that brought us to an upper ridge instead of where the other ones came out. It was quite the workout.

This is one of my favorite mountains to hike. When you reach the top of the mountain there is not only a view of what is now below you, but a glacial pond as well.

We ate lunch, enjoyed the view, and Bruin posed for some pictures. Because, well, that's just what he does.

You're welcome for posting this.

There were tourists up there and they could not get over Bruin. They wanted to know what breed he was because they loved him so much. We told them we have no idea, but we would love to know also.
We followed the blue trail marks and hiked back down.

Super Cool Stump

Man and his dog.

Fill in the blank: Bruin loves to go _________. (If you guessed hiking, you were correct.)
Overall, it was a great time. We were exhausted at the end of the night and ate huge sandwiches once we hit civilization again.  Believe me when I say that WE ALL slept like a super sleepy baby that night.
