This weekend was the first weekend in quite some time that Dave and I had not one trip somewhere planned. We consciously decided that because we've been here there and everywhere, he's been a little stressed with job applications, and stress building up at my workplace, to not make many plans and just relax.
So that, on top of the fact that I didn't go out and get film for the "good camera" (yeah yeah, hardy-har my good camera takes film...build a bridge and get over it) leads to some pretty average, not so exciting, weird lighting, but kinda comfy photos for the weekend.
So let's rewind.
I know it wasn't technically the weekend, but things started up Thursday when my younger sister moved her things in. Like I mentioned oh so briefly in my last post my sister is moving in until the fall when she goes back to school because of a summer job. She moved in most of her stuff on Thursday night. Here is her oh so precious rendition of her stuff in our spare room. It makes me miss my old dorm rooms...
Friday night consisted of meeting up with a couple of my beloved coworkers/friends/sanity board. I do not have a photo. If I did, it would look like sausage pizza, Bud Lite Lime, non-stop talking, laughing, estrogen, unicorns and glitter.
Fast forward Saturday morning. One of my favorite things to do when I wake up on weekends is watch music videos on VH1, and they've been playing one of my favorites often.
Oh hello "The Cave" by Mumford and Sons. You brighten my morning.
The boys decided to wake up and, like any other dog, Bruin got carried around like a toddler.
| So other people do stuff like this with their pets right? | RIGHT? |
Yes our dog watches T.V. And yes that's a dog named Bruin on a Red Sox Blanket. Sense any sports team patterns?

I plugged it in. It's not the "normal" wedding gift. But I legitimately love it. It was done with thought, and love. And it's super different. I bet you don't have one.
I finally cleaned my bathroom, which I've been putting off. I won't show you a picture of the clean bathroom, but I will show you the fake flowers that the landlord left and we keep on the counter. Because actually, fake flowers are pretty classy for us. If that gives you an idea.
I went to work for a few hours at the custard stand that I also mentioned in my last post. I don't have any pictures of my place of work, but I did bring a quart of the hubsters favorite flavor home.
They serve Black Raspberry Custard in heaven.
Bruin isn't allowed to beg. So I obviously shooed him off the couch.
Right after I took this picture...
We woke up Sunday with the power going on and off due to the dreary weather.
Lots of puddles.
Errand Time!
So after the power stayed off for an hour, Mr. Wonderful and I went on an adventure to a bakery to get some food and my drug of choice:
I am one of those people who can't get out of their own way before their cup of joe.
Bruin stared longingly out the window at the rainy weather, those wonderful puddles, and those gosh darn squirrels who get to run around in the rain, before Dave took him for a run.
In his next life he'll either be a person, or a really happy squirrel who sits outside of windows.
We bummed around some more and then I was then hit with the awful realization that it was late Sunday afternoon and I had grading to do.
Holy bookprojects batman!
Which, of course I didn't choose to teach something like math, where I can quickly run over the answers. Oh no. That would just be silly for my outside grading time to consist of something under a couple of hours.
I grade papers.
Middle School Language Arts was everyone's favorite class EVER right?
But alas, this was my calling. So I spent the afternoon, when I wasn't trolling on other blogs, grading. And will have to grade a little more tonight.
Overall it was just the weekend that the doctor ordered.
Bring on the busy!
Well, not everyone will be busy this week...
Oh I see you're searching for summer jobs online, let me bug you.
Success.
So, how was your weekend????
You guys are so gosh darn cute.
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous of your weekend as mine was non-stop busy, oh well it's what happens when you have kids.
P.S. I love the picture of the paper with words, great angle.
